The Temporary Graduate Visa SC 485 lets you stay in Australia to reside, study or work after completing your studies. It is ideal for recently graduated students with relevant skills and qualifications. It allows migrant students who have completed at least 2 years of study in Australia to work and live in the country for a period between 18 months to 4 years.

The Temporary Graduate Visa SC 485 comprises of two streams:

1. Graduate Work Stream

This stream is for applicants that have recently graduated from a course that is related to a skill requirement that is facing shortage in Australia. It allows international students to study, work and live in Australia.Visa holders can work and live in Australia for 18 months

Eligibility

• The applicant must be under the age of 50 years
• Should hold an eligible Visa
• Must hold recent qualifications in a CRICOS-registered course
• Must meet the skills and qualification requirements of the relevant stream
• Should have received positive assessment of the required relevant skills
• Should have held a Student Visa in the last 6 months
• Adequate Health Insurance evidence from an approved Australian health insurance provider
• Provide evidence of required level of English competency
• Should meet the required health and character requirements

2. Post-Study Work Stream

This stream is for applicants that have recently graduated from an Australian institution. With this visa, you can work and stay in Australia for a period of 2 to 4 years based on your qualification.
